Was searching for DeRouen's as that is my cajun name and hit your page. The funny thing is that I just moved to Macomb, IL. Would never have expected to find DeRouen's from Illinois. Now that you're in Dallas, you're closer to the hundreds of DeRouens in New Iberia, LA! I'd love to know what you know about the DeRouen's in Illinois. I'm sure we're cousins of one sort or another. Nice page you have here. Jo DeRouen Darlington.

Was that really the John Russell that I used to know who signed my guestbook? If so, write me and send me your e-mail and I'll e-mail you back! And, yes, Harley Race could beat the living hell out of Bill Goldberg any day.
Poor Rufus R. Jones, though, died a few years back, as did "Bulldog" Bob Brown. Sad, isn't it?

Roll on, Big Daddy! Thought your Chris DeBurgh site was cool, though I prefer Dean Martin and Sinatra m'self! I personnaly think Harley Race could stomp the snot out of Goldberg and wipe his nose with a used Pamper's, how about you? Rufus R. Jones is my personal fave, though. I'll have to take a cruise to Dallas in my Caddy and check out your digs, cat!

I DID NOT CARE FOR YOUR WEB PAGE AT ALL. I AM A BIG WRESTLING
FAN AND YOUR SITE LISTING ARE SO OUTDATED AND VERY MISLEADING.
WHEN YOU ADVERTISE "UNMASK" A WRESTLER I EXPECT A PICTURE.
I REALLY THOUGHT THIS SITE WAS EXTREAMLY LAME. HOW CAN YOU
CALL YOUR SELF A WRESTLING FAN IF YOU HAVEN'T UPDATED SINCE
1996. A LOT HAS CHANGED IN 5 YEARS.

Fabulous set of links - I found it long ago, bookmarked it, used it and passed it on.
Your work is much appreciated and envied.
However (at last) I've found something you've not been able to help me on.
I'm looking for some link or online dictionary dealing with etymology of names - the literary link is the name Tavendale - in Grassic Gibbon's "Scot's Quair", Ewan T. is the heroine's husband (eventually) and some say he is the symbol of the Gael or Celtic Scot (Chris is similarly allegorically Scotland)
However the surname Tavendale does not sound Scottish to us (here in Scotland!) so I'm looking for the root of the name. All I've got for an afternoon on the Net is one reference to a Tavendale in the 1851 UK census of Angus (the right sort of area fo rthe story!)
Any ideas where I can look?

Greetings Shadow Mage - one of the things I find most interesting about your guest book is the wide variety of places that people are from..........Very Cuel. Is STTS still up and around? How about the magazine. Now that I've got pooter access, I'd love to join in again. .....and as always, I'll leave you with my most recent poem.
Your Own Reservoir
You need a chance to look in the mirror;
to stare out into the night undisturbed;
You need to take a step
down your own open road
before you lean on another.
To hold yourself up;
to know you can.
Feel the quickening that gathers
when you stop and breathe
Resilient, strong, passionate and real.
When you know who you are
and can hear your own voice
in the din around you
Only then are you ready to love,
to be a partner - not a dependent
to be free, vibrant, joyful and alive
to be
your own reservoir.

Joe,
This is one of the best organized personal home pages I
have seen. It is easy to see your interests and follow
down the links. In my opinion, the text format with links
is better than lots of fancy graphics. I read what I wanted
and clicked on those links.
Now, why did I look up your page? I run the Southwest
PC Users Group BBS in Dallas, (972)385-1889. Like many
boards, our membership has been falling in recent years
due to Internet competition. So I have started calling
around to other boards, and have found many are gone. I
called yours tonight, 03/13, and got no answer. Figuring
STTS had gone the way of Second Sanctum, and so many others,
I tried your URL. Your home page would indicate to me that
STTS still exists. I will call tomorrow. Any pointers you
have for reviving a BBS would be appreciated.
Regards,
Steve Rowan, SysOp, Southwest PC Users Group BBS

Hey, Joe! Wha'd you think of the concert last night? Amazing, eh? That second lady from the audience who got up to sing was absolutely incredible! Great pages you've got here! I've just got a bit of spare time, and so I'm exploring. WHat's this
"Avatar" thing? Anything to do with Mercedes Lackey? ;-)

I always wanted to remove some 16bit programs from Win95
and wasn't sure how and where to delete all the files, but
thanks to you I did it without destroying my Win.ini and
System.ini. My system is still working with out any erorrs.
Thanks and Keep up the good work.
By the way there are a lot of people who read your articles but
are scared or don't know how to thank you so I will do it for all
of them who don't.
Thank You, Joe!

I read your column in the May edition of Computer Currents.
Try out Four 11, it's ok.
You should try out SwitchBoard at http:/www.switchboard.com
I used to get Texas Currents in the mail.
Is their any way of getting C.C., I haven't been able to find it in my neck of the woods.

Chris is one of the best! His songs can make you feel everything that you want: love, anger, happiness, rage... He can make you think, he can make you laugh, he can make you cry... it's impossible to say everything that he can create!
I can hardly wait for his next album!

Joe has been my friend for years. We've been through good and bad times together. He has his quirks, but overall, he is a true friend.
He's cracked jokes about me, being his half Germanic half Jewish friend; though he tends to think I favor the Jewish side.
I've even seen him get beat with a purse, but don't ask him about it, since I've asked him more times than I can count.
And just where in the hell is The Forest, TX? And for that matter, did we really need to give away donuts with EVERY purchase?
